I just had a chat on the AG order line. The woman I spoke to said that Marisol has a new skin tone. She described it as tan and said that it is lighter than Josefina's because Marisol is a Mexican/American. I then called AGPlace in Chicago and was told the same thing by a personal shopper. She also confirmed that Marisol has the same face mold as Josefina. The website pics lead me to believe that, but it was nice to have it confirmed by someone who has seen her in person. Well, then I'm actually glad that her skin tone is different, just so that she's slightly differeent from Josefina even though she has the same face mold. Plus with her hair being lighter in color and curlier, I think that'll be nice distinctions.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Thank you very much for the information! Looks like I need a parasol (for the rain today in Northern California) much more than I need Marisol.

I am not fond of the Josefina sculpt, which is the reason I sent Nellie back. A doll with a red short bob, bangs and freckles should be an undisputed "keeper" for me (after rewigging and freckling several of my dolls), but the Josefina sculpt just rubs me the wrong way a whole lot and I would not add her to my gang. Marisol will join Nellie and Josefina as my "not to buy" dolls.

Taffy, My friend's daughter recieved Kirstin for Christmas, but she wanted Kaya, do you have to pay to send her back if you want a different one?

Taffy, I am glad that I could save you some money. LOL

Unfortunately for my bank book, I think I may need to order Marisol. I have a bi-racial niece and I have been longing for a doll with that look. The only other possiblity would be for me to order one of the AG of Today dolls with medium skin. I have been considering them for awhile, but I already have two AG of Today dolls and I was hoping for a doll that really looked different. Now that Marisol is out, I am thinking real hard. OHHH my poor head! LOL

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">I think they pay if there is a defect in the doll and you want a replacement of the same model. I paid to send Nellie back, so I paid her round-trip from AG for the privilege of making certain that I did not want her. It was worth the cost...

One of the neat things about 18" dolls is that there are soooo many different faces to choose from. There are faces that are perfect for each individual, just as there are faces an individual wouldn't want to own.

Sometime, when I have a lot of free time, I am going to try to figure out what it is in my history that makes the Josefina sculpt so unattractive to me. I believe it is her pointed chin as that reminds me of the lady who played the Wicked Witch in the Wizard of Oz.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">And I'm exactly the opposite and a total sucker for the Josefina sculpt, lol! My wanting Marisol was totally dependant on what face they used to do her. Since they used Josefina's, she is coming to my house.

Thats funny!!! I was always scared of that witch!!! I was not even aware of the different face molds.
My Hubby thinks all the dolls look the same!!!
How many Different molds are there?
We have Felicity, our first, Samantha, Kit, Josephina, Lindsey( I love Freckles too!!), Kirsten, Kailey, and one Ag of today with blue eyes and brown hair,Krystle is her name. Also for Christmas we recieved Kaya and Nellie. I am going to really examine them good now. Can you tell me the different molds for these dolls?
